WOS continues its tradition of beautiful, warm and inviting galas, this time held at a private residence in North Salem, NY. With savory food provided by the chorus, the event features an auction, live entertainment and the opportunity to mingle with singers and community members outside of a musical context.
Past MCs and musicians include Valerie Smaldone (radio host), Joseph Volpe (Met Opera general manager), REBEL Baroque Orchestra, Jazzical and Misha Dichter.
This year's entertainment includes a solo performance of 19th and 20th century vocal repertoire by WOS conductor Benjamin Niemczyk.

WOS concludes its 2011-12 season the way it began its 1997-98 season, with an encore performance of Mendelssohn's oratorio Elijah, this time presented in the beautiful, serene environment of Temple Beth El in Chappaqua, NY.
Regarded as one of the greatest choral works ever written, Elijah continues to captivate audiences worldwide with its swift drama and sublime music. Presented here, complete, in approximately 2 hours in the remodeled, intimate sanctuary of Temple Beth El, Mendelssohn is sure to excite all generations of music lovers.
